Nana Qi (or Key) is an avid animal illustrator & sculptor in NYC. She lived on three continents by the age of 2, & grew up in a small New England town by the sea. Her mother was an international translator who visited dozens of countries, and gave her a name exists in many languages.
Growing up as a person of color she found peace with animals, and hopes to share that happiness. Through battling life events and rare health issues, she seeks to make art that comforts and heals.
Since finding a new style in March of 2019, she has worked on books, toys, merchandise & more. Her work has been featured by by Procreate, Bored Panda, natural history museums, & other publications. She’s also had the opportunity to work with conservation groups like the Jane Goodall Institute, furthering wildlife education to better protect them.
